Within the framework of the International Conference on Migration and Urbanization, organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), it was presented the past October 26 2015, in Geneve, Switzerland, (UN Palais de Nation HQ), the results of the project "Participlan: Integrating slums to build multicultural cities in Argentina and Bolivia". This project was implemented with the support of World Justice Challenge. Finding from the project were included in the World Migration Report as best practice. One of this cases is the neighborhood "Los Pinos" where after applying the methodology of participatory planning it was carried out upgrading that illustrates the case of a self help neighborhood, where 70% are immigrants from Peru, Bolivia and Paraguay living in the outskirt of Buenos Aires metropolitan area. This works carried out through community efforts includes public lighting, sidewalk, drainage and land readjustment.
